Availability and Pricing
A variety of non-reloadable eGift Cards from over 200+ top brand Jamaican Retailers are offered for purchase through our Services. All eGift Cards are subject to availability and we reserve the right to impose quantity limits on any order, reject all or any part of an order and to discontinue products without notice, even if you have already placed your order. All prices are subject to change without notice and the price charged will be the price set out on the Service at the time of your order. The minimum price of an eGift Card sold via Giftme is $500.00 JMD and the maximum price of an eGift Card sold is $50,000.00 JMD (subject to each Retailer’s minimum and maximum limits). If you purchase multiple eGift Cards on a single day, the total amount that you purchase on all the cards cannot exceed $300,000 JMD eGift Cards purchased through Giftme are available for use within Jamaica and may be available for use in or sending to recipients in other countries. Please consult the Giftme eGift Card wall via the Service and each Retailer’s (as defined below) terms and conditions for the use of eGift Cards outside of Jamaica. The eGift Card you select is subject to the Retailers own separate terms and conditions in addition to these Terms.
From time to time we may offer other special promotions intended to provide you an incentive to purchase eGift Cards and/or to encourage you to get others to do so. The applicable rules will be posted on the Giftme Site in or near the description of each such promotion.. We reserve the right to interpret these rules in our sole discretion and to cancel any promotions without notice.
The expiration date for an eGift Card, if one applies, is displayed on the back of the eGift Card in your Giftme Wallet or in the Retailers own terms and conditions. Please refer to the expiry date to ensure you redeem your eGift Card in the allocated time frame. Giftme is not responsible for eGift Cards that are not redeemed before the expiration date.
Unless otherwise required by law, eGift Cards are not redeemable for cash.
Each eGift Card purchased by you will be listed as a separate eGift Card in your Giftme Wallet. By way of reference, in the event you purchase two eGift Cards from the same retailer, your Giftme Wallet will reflect two separate eGift Cards, as opposed to one eGift Card. Giftme may, in its sole discretion and under guidance by relevant laws, from time to time implement a limit on the value of eGift Cards that may be stored in the Giftme Wallet at any one time.
Giftme will not replace your eGift Card if it is lost, stolen or used without permission or authorization. Please safeguard your eGift Card.
Retailer Terms and Liability
eGift Cards that you purchase through our Services are issued by participating third-party retailers (“Retailers”). Your purchase of each eGift Card is governed by certain terms and conditions established by the issuing Retailer in addition to these Terms. Retailers may set expiration dates for eGift Cards in addition to other restrictions and requirements. Please review all applicable Retailers’ terms and conditions prior to the purchase of any eGift Card. If you have questions relating to the applicable Retailer terms, please contact the issuing Retailer. As the issuers of eGift Cards, Retailers (and not Giftme) are fully responsible for all aspects of their eGift Card programs. Retailers are responsible for all liabilities and costs suffered by you or any other party caused – directly or indirectly – by the Retailer or their products or services. We have no obligation to resolve any dispute between you and any Retailer. Giftme endeavours to work with reputable Retailers, however Giftme holds no liability for the sale of products or services provided to you by a Retailer. In purchasing an eGift Card from an issuing Retailer, you waive and release Giftme and its subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, employees and agents from any liabilities arising from or related to any act or omission of a Retailer. Following the purchase of aneGift Card, Giftme shall not be responsible or liable to you in the event a Retailer discontinues its eGift Cards or is unable to or refuses to redeem youreGift Card (including for reasons of their insolvency, external administration or forced closure).
Accepted forms of payment are debit and credit cards approved by Giftme, for example Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Giftme reserves the right to make changes to the payment methods available for use without notice. eGift Cards may not be purchased with cash. Unless indicated otherwise, the purchase of eGift Cards will be fully billed at the time the eGift Card is purchased by you. Giftme uses a third-party PCI compliant payment processor and we do not hold any financial information. If your payment cannot be verified, is invalid or otherwise unacceptable, your order may be suspended or cancelled automatically. Any problems encountered in the processing of your order are not the responsibility of Giftme.
Why do I see an extra $1 on my statement?
When you attempt to store a card to be charged later, our payment processor may send over a request to your issuing bank for either a $0 or an $1 authorization to verify that the card is issued and the bank will allow it to be authorized. Our payment processor will first attempt a $0 authorization. If the $0 authorization fails, they will then attempt a $1 authorization. Regardless of whether or not the authorization is accepted or declined, we will reverse the amount immediately thereafter it is charged. Some people may still see an authorization for $1 on their credit card statement. The important thing to remember is that this is not a charge, and it will disappear from your statement. Depending on the bank, it will be removed anywhere from a few minutes to a few weeks.
eGift Card Activation
All eGift Cards sold via our Services are activated at time of purchase. Activated eGift Cards will be available within approximately 30 seconds however additional time may be required for certain activations and are subject to each Retailer's own terms and conditions regarding activations. If your eGift Card has not been activated within five minutes of purchase, please contact us at [email protected]. In rare cases it may take up to 24 hours for activation to occur, we appreciate your patience.
Giftme charges a service fee, the amount of which is displayed before checkout. Giftme reserves the right to change, modify, or amend the service fee at any time without prior notice. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the platform and will apply to all subsequent transactions. By continuing to use the platform, you agree to any revised fees.
Giftme Smart eGift Card
The Giftme Smart eGift Card allows users to buy and send a non-reloadable value onto the Giftme Smart eGift Card, which can be swapped for another Retailer eGift Card available through the Giftme Service for the same amount. When purchasing multiple Giftme Smart eGift Cards on the same day, the combined value of all these cards must not exceed JMD $250,000, or its equivalent in other currencies. The limit applies to the total value of all cards purchased together on a single day through our retail channel. Giftme Smart eGift Cards are not redeemable for cash, and no refunds will be provided for Giftme Smart eGift Cards, (except as required by law).
Giftme Smart eGift Card Inactivity Fee Terms
Inactivity Fee Structure:
- First Year: If the Giftme Smart eGift Card remains unused for a consecutive 12-month period from its last use or any previous balance reduction, an annual inactivity fee of 25% of the card's remaining balance will be deducted.
- After First Year: Following the initial 12 months of inactivity, a monthly inactivity fee of 3% of the card's remaining balance will be deducted at the end of each subsequent month of inactivity.
- Minimum Balance Clause: Should the card balance fall below JMD $100.00 due to the inactivity fees, the entire remaining balance will be forfeited. If the balance is already less than JMD $100.00 before the inactivity fee is applied, the entire balance will be set to zero.
Activity Resumption: If the Giftme Smart eGift Card is used (balance-reducing activity) occurs after an inactivity fee has been charged, no additional inactivity fee will be applied for the next 12-month cycle. The inactivity clock resets upon each balance-reducing activity, initiating a new 12-month period before any further inactivity fees can be charged.
Fee Notification: Cardholders are encouraged to regularly check the balance of their Giftme Smart eGift Cards to avoid unintentional inactivity fees. We do not send out notifications prior to deducting these fees.
No Refunds Policy: Once charged, inactivity fees are non-reversible and non-refundable. It is the cardholder's responsibility to be aware of these terms and to use their Giftme Smart eGift Card to avoid such fees.
Fraud and Abuse
We reserve the right to review, postpone, or cancel the purchase or redemption of any gift card in our sole reasonable discretion. This includes withholding your funds or freezing your order under the following circumstances:
- If we receive a claim or otherwise suspect that a gift card purchased or redeemed through Giftme was fraudulently purchased or redeemed or otherwise unauthorized.
- If your order is determined to be fraudulent.
- Until you have completed the full verification process and the purchase processing (including third-party verification process/requirements) is complete.
You give us express authorization to share information about you, your order, your purchase/redemption, and any of your activity with law enforcement authorities as needed to investigate any claim of fraud. If your order is determined to be fraudulent, we may suspend your order immediately and all pending gift cards or other transactions that have not yet been redeemed may be suspended. Any remaining gift cards that have not been used in resolving the fraudulent transaction will be returned to the purchaser's registered payment method or merchant as applicable.
Please choose your eGift Card carefully as we do not allow exchanges or offer refunds on eGift Cards (except required by law).
Giftme is not responsible for the refund of the purchase price or return of any products purchased from Retailers.
Lost or Stolen Gift Cards
Safeguard your eGift Card as it has value. eGift Cards that are lost, stolen or used without authorization will not be replaced or refunded. If you lose your mobile device please contact us immediately so we can attempt to put a hold on your account. If someone without authorization has partially or fully redeemed your eGift Card(s) while your mobile device is lost or stolen, Giftme shall not be liable.
Your eGift Card, your responsibility
Giftme attempts to be as accurate as possible in providing Services, however sometimes errors may occur. We do not represent or warrant that any description, eGift Card, Retailer or pricing information displayed on our Service is accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. In the event of an error caused by us, we will attempt to correct it as quickly as possible and revise your order accordingly.
Excluded Users and Territories
You are not permitted to purchase products or services from Giftme if you are:
Located in, under the control of, a national or resident of any country to which Jamaica has embargoed goods or services.

Changes to These Terms of Sale
Giftme reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms of Sale at any time and for any reason. We encourage our customers to regularly review these terms to stay informed about any changes. Any modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued purchase or use of our products and services after any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated Terms of Sale. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should refrain from making further purchases or using our services.
